Industries That Have Gain From The Events Of 2020

What a year this has been! You couldn’t write it or make it up. It’s the type of thing you see in the movies and never expect to happen to yourself!

Many industry’s have suffered massively this year, some have even had forced closures as they simply cannot recover from what has been a devastating year.

I feel for ever business this has happened too and as I am currently on maternity leave I don’t know where I stand with my job I am due to return to in just 3 weeks.

Times are uncertain and scary.

On the flip side of this double edge knife everyone is living on right now is that a lot of business have actually increased business, revenue and expanded due to the nature of how they operate.

Remote workers are winning.

Here are some industries I know have Increased during the Global Pandemic 2020.

Take Aways

People have always got to eat right! And I more than most turn to yummy quick and fast food in times of need. Because these business don’t need to allow customers into the shops to operate they can continue in a COVID safe way.

Let’s be honest, during the main lockdown there wasn’t much to do apart from eat and drink.

Online Dating

If you weren’t getting many dates pre pandemic you definitely aren’t now. When the world came to a holt so did the dating scene. Many singletons left lonely and pondering what to do with free time.

This is were the dating sites like dating agency Strathclyde are absolutely winning at life right now as people who want to get to know people are limited to options and online dating is the safest, easiest option in my opinion.

Some over 60’s will have never dived into online dating before until now so the Strathclyde dating site is a great one to start with it’s easy to navigate site and whole host of users.

I think 2021 will see an increase of people signing up to online dating as we get use to our new normal. You know what they say new year, new your. How about new year,  new partner.

This way you can check the sort of admirers they are received and hopefully scope out a new love interested for the Person in your life.

Online Shopping

I for one have never been a big online shopper. I like to see things, feel things and try things on before deciding if they are for me. Another option we have had taken away from us this year. Now the shops are back open we still find ourselves unable to try on clothes. With this new rule I have turned to online shopping to enable me to try on at home and decide whether to keep or return the item.

I know this has been the case for many a shopper as I see 75% more delivery vans around my area then I have ever been aware of before. Not to mention the abundance of packages I see in the back of couriers vans.

Will a lot of the changes stay in place through 2021? Yes I think so. I feel many more online business and remote working option are going to be a massive thing going forward. Who need to have a warehouse and a shop front with over heads if you could just have one?
