How to make money online before the holidays

With the holiday season swiftly approaching, many people are looking for ways to spread their paycheck that little bit further. This is hardly surprising when you consider the fact that, according to a recent Bank of England study, we spend an additional £470 on average in December.

There are many reasons why we tend to spend more during this time, whether we’re taking on the role of Santa and buying gifts for loved ones or finding the perfect outfit for the holiday Christmas parties. While sticking to a budget is pivotal during this time, there are plenty of ways to ensure you have enough money to go around, especially online.

With that in mind, here are just some of the ways in which you can make extra cash online!

Fill out paid surveys. One of the easiest ways you can set about making money online is by filling out paid surveys. They often take less than ten minutes of your time, and they are relatively easy to fill out; for example, you could easily fill out a few surveys during your lunch.

There are many different sites where you can sign up to participate in surveys and focus groups, some of which could mean you’re given free products to review!  Be sure to read the terms and conditions before you start to complete surveys, as some may offer vouchers instead of cash payments. You may also need to earn a specific amount of money before you can cash out.

Feeling lucky? Check out online casinos. Online casinos also provide you with ample opportunity to earn extra money ahead of the festive season, which can be a great deal of fun. However, you should be wary of placing down any money that you cannot afford to lose.

You should also carry out a bit of research to ensure that you are playing at the top paying online casino in order to maximise your earning potential.

Upload photographs to stock sites. If you are a skilled photographer or have simply managed to capture some wonderful photographs from time to time, you may want to consider selling them to stock photo sites, such as Unsplash or Pexels. After all, this is a relatively low-effort way to score some extra cash, especially if the photos would otherwise be doing nothing more than taking up storage on your laptop or phone!

Consider online selling. If you’re looking for a relatively quick way to make money before the holidays, consider selling things you no longer need or use online. For example, platforms such as Vinted and Facebook Market Place can be used to offload everything from clothes to furniture for a great price (provided on their condition).

When selling online, try to take high-quality pictures and photographs of the items you are selling. This makes it easier to generate interest among buyers while also ensuring that they feel confident in their purchasing decision. If there are any faults, describe them in detail in order to avoid future complaints or haggling.
