Solving Your Skin Problems
If you’re looking to improve your skin, check out these neat fixes for some of the most common skin problems out there. I can’t guarantee they’ll lewd to perfect skin, but they will help you to smooth out any wrinkles, so to speak, and look even more radiant than you surely already do…
Acne
If you thought you’d left acne behind you as a teen, only to be dismayed by its return, don’t worry – there are plenty of things you can do to take control back. Start by washing your face with an antibacterial wash, and if that doesn’t work take a look at your diet, eliminating common triggers like sugar and dairy as best you can. If that doesn’t work, you may need to look at hormonal causes, especially if you’re currently using birth control or going through the menopause; if this is the case, speaking to your doctor may be a great help.
Uneven skin tone
If you have a really bad case of uneven skin tone, you may need to look at how to treat hyperpigmentation with the help of a professional, but if it’s just a mild case you’re dealing with, you may want to try drinking more water which will hydrate your skin and help it do its thing. You may also want to ensure that you wear sunscreen whenever you’re out and about because the sun can cause dark patches to appear. Other than that, getting plenty of vitamin C, toning with rosewater and using chemical peels once in a while is likely to help greatly too.
Scars
Scars can make a lot of women feel very self-conscious, so there is no shame in wanting to do whatever you can to minimise them if it will help you feel more confident.
Although you can never truly get rid of older scars, you can fade them, and if they’re under 12 months old you may be able to all but eliminate them completely. How do you do this? Vascular laser treatment is undoubtedly the best way to deal with scars, but if surgery isn’t an option, regular treatments with a derma roller are your best bet. Apart from that, you could try regular moisturising with hyaluronic acid or collagen injections, all of which have been shown to improve the situation.
Birthmarks
Birthmarks can be pretty cute, but if you aren’t fond of yours, laser treatment and V-beam can get rid of them pretty effectively. Looking for a less drastic solution? Camouflage cream is your best friend, and although it is not permanent, it will do the job of hiding your birthmark better than normal makeup ever could.
Ingrown hairs
Shaving and waxing is usually what causes these unsightly, and sometimes painful blemishes, but fear not because it is possible to deal with them effectively – just don’t use tweezers which can make the problem worse and cause scarring What should you do? Apply a warm compress and see if that allows the hair to work its own way out. If that doesn’t work, try exfoliating the area with a loofah before applying salicylic acid, Do this twice a day and before long the problem will be gone.
Love the skin you in, but if you can’t do that, try the above!
