How is it already the last week of summer? It seems only a few moments ago I was hearing parents in the supermarket telling children that they have 6 weeks off and they need to make the pennies last.
Six weeks can be a lot of days that need filling with activities that cost a fortune, and if you have several kids I dread to think of the expense.
Fear not, I have the solution for you to not spend a penny for this last week. Thank me later.
Germolene have created a Germolene 90 Days of Summer Guide which gives you all the inspiration and information you need to be on a budget for this last week.
Here are some of the things we have been up to from the guide-
Sleep under the stars
We pitched up a tent under the stars, had a mid night snack and star gazed the night away. It was the perfect solution for me being a camping newby. My toilet was on hand and I dinner need to pack a million bags, Winner winner.
Sow to Grow
We have had great fun planting seeds this summer and growing our own veg. Out tomatoes have been a winner as we love looking out for when they are juicy and red to pick off and make dinner with.
All kids love climbing and swinging from the trees. At the beginning of the year we purchased a pass to our local national trust park which we have made great use of this summer. Pack up a picnic, roll up a blanket and head out for the day exploring the outdoors.
What have you done this summer which has been totally free?
